Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEGBERT (ED) CORNELIUS BROWN August 26, 1912 - November 18, 1999 Peacefully on November 18, 1999 at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Ed passed away. He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth; sisters, Gertrude, Lucy, Constantia, Rachael and Magdalene; brothers, Simeon, Abijah and Frank. He is survived by his sister Miriam; sons, Errol and wife Lorraine, and Fabian; daughters, Nellie, Lilieth, Lola, Joyce, Nair, Doreen, Eartha; and son-in-law Lloyd; 27 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews in England, United States, Canada and Jamaica. Also left to remember his passing is his dear friend Marva and her son Roland and daughter Lisa; Glen Williams, Alvin Jackson, his many friends, colleagues and members of the Independent Order of English Mechanics, Preston Unity Branch, District No. 1. He was very kind, friendly to everyone and the life of the party. A great dancer, he loved to cook. He was an excellent shoe designer and businessman. He was regarded by many as a loving father and a Spiritual healer. The family would like to thank the Seven Oaks Hospital staff for their support and care. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 22 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Johns Presbyterian Church, 251 Bannerman, with Pastor Ken Innes officiating. Interment will follow at Kildonan Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eds memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6. Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 586-8044.
