WALTER JOHN BURKE It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Walter Burke at the Brandon Regional Health Centre, after a brief battle with cancer on November 18, 1999. "Grandpa" was born in Winnipeg on April 3, 1914 and resided in Winnipeg all his life. Grandpa worked for Federated Co-op as a chartered accountant and retired in 1979. He met and married Adeline Krost, July 4, 1942 in Winnipeg. He was a member of St. Joseph Club and belonged to the club bowling league for many years. He also enjoyed fishing, travelling, entertaining, but most of all his family. He was predeceased by his loving wife Adeline in 1997 and sister Bertha Gaynor. He leaves to mourn his passing his two sons, Richard (Dianne) from Mississauga, Ont., Karl (Claire) from Brandon; grandchildren, Stephen (Sondra) from new Jersey, Justin (Kim) from Brandon, Jody (Tyler) from Brandon, Kerry from Mississauga, Johnna (Bryce) from Brandon, Amanda from Mississauga; six great-grandchildren, Danny, Jordan, Matthew, Rayanne, Madison, Kennedy and sisters, Anne and Theresa Burke. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 22 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, Brazier and Munroe Avenue. Inurnment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Grandpa was transferred to Brandon Hospital to be close to his loving family and we will be forever grateful for that. "We will miss you and we love you" Rest in Peace, Grandpa In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Walters memory to a charity of your choice.
