RUTH MARGARETTA McCREARY (nee YULE) On November 20, 1999 Mom passed away at the Grace General Hospital in Winnipeg. She was the widow of Robert C. McCreary who predeceased her in 1979. Ruth was born and lived her life in Winnipeg. She has said that her children gave her life its purpose, its true meaning and its joy. She is survived by her daughter Mary Ann (Mike) Gilmour of Winnipeg; son Michael (Karen) of Toronto and son Andrew of Winnipeg. She will also be missed by grandchildren, Stephanie and Ryan of Winnipeg and Grace and Elaine of Toronto; her sister Dorothy and nephew Gary of Winnipeg; her brother Charles (Yule) of Winnipeg and nieces, Shirley and Pamela of Calgary. Grief never ends, but it changes. It is a passage, not a place to stay. The sense of loss must give way if we are to value the life that was lived. At Moms request, there will be no formal service. Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date. If friends so desire, donations may be made in her memory to a charity of ones choice.
