Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLAWRENCE (LARRY) WOROBEY Suddenly, on Friday, November 19, 1999 at the St. Boniface Hospital, after a long battle with heart disease, at the age of 74 years. Larry, devoted husband and father, is survived by his loving wife, Shirley; daughter, Valerie (Lance) Jones of Kelowna, BC; son Larry, (wife Myrna Kelly and son Chris Kelly) sister-in-law Helen Worobey and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law Rose and Charles Ward and his two brothers William and Michael. Larry retired from the CNR in 1987 as General Superintendent of Equipment, Prairie Region, after 46 years of service in Winnipeg, Montreal, Saskatoon and Dauphin, returning to Winnipeg in 1971. In 1984 he was admitted to the Order of St. John of Jerusalem in Ottawa. In his younger years, he enjoyed baseball, golf, bowling and curling. Later he played duplicate bridge and enjoyed the cottage at Laclu, Ontario. Larry served with the R.C.N. during the Second World War. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at St. Mary Madgalene Church, 3 St. Vital Road on Thursday, November 25 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Bob Webster officiating. Thank you to the First Responders Unit for their efforts and prompt service, to the Emergency staff at St. Boniface Hospital and also a heartfelt thanks to Rev. Carlyle Murrell for being with us at the hospital; also a big thank you to Ron, Larrys homecare orderly for his services and kindness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to St. Mary Magdalene Church Building Fund.
