Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD ROY LANGE After a courageous battle with cancer, Edward Lange, at the age of 61, passed away peacefully at the St. Boniface Hospital on November 19, 1999. His family was at his side. Ed is survived by his beloved wife and friend of 39 years, Marjorie; daughter Kimberley (Andy), son Randy; brothers, Kenneth (Marilyn), Lawrence (Barb), Ronald (Bernice), Arthur (Agnes) brothers-in-law, Don Staples (Gina), Don Hrynchuk (Fran) many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Ed was predeceased by his mother Lydia in 1965, father Adolf in 1971 and sister Alice in 1979. Ed was born on April 26, 1938, in Winnipeg. He was employed by the City of Winnipeg Traffic Signals Department for 32 years, retiring in April, 1993. Ed was a loving and caring person with a wonderful sense of humour who lived for his family and friends. He had a heart of gold and was able to put a smile on everyones face. Ed enjoyed the outdoors and spent many memorable summers at the Oasis. He loved camping, fishing, walking and gardening. He spent countless hours in his yard and looking after his cherished tomatoes. People who knew Ed quickly discovered his love for country music (not dancing!) Since retirement, Ed and Marge enjoyed travelling to many destinations down south during the winter months. Their last trip was to Puerto Vallarta in February of 1999. Ed had full intentions of travelling to Mexico again this winter. Special thanks to the staff at the Manitoba Cancer Clinic and Dr. Harlos and staff at the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 24 at 10:30 a.m., at the Lutheran Church of the Cross at 560 Arlington St. Immediately following the service, lunch will be served in the church basement. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eds memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, R3C 9Z9. What you suffered, you told few, You didnt deserve what you went through. Tired and weary you made no fuss, You fought so hard to stay with us. You left beautiful memories A sorrow too great to be told, A cherished smile, a heart of gold. God bless you, we will miss you so. Love, your family LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements; 775-2220.
