Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEUGENE SCHAEFFER On Saturday, November 20, 1999 at the Selkirk General Hospital, Eugene Schaeffer, aged 75 years, beloved husband of Doreen Schaeffer of Teulon. Born April 26, 1924 in Scott, Sask., Eugene moved to Winnipeg as a young boy and later moved to the Greenwood area where he farmed until moving to Teulon in 1972. Eugene was a community minded person, coached baseball and hockey, was a member of the Teulon Kinsmen and K-40, the Teulon Ambulance Association, the Arris Centre and drove school bus for 17 years. He was predeceased by two sons, Cameron in 1972 and Danny in 1983. Surviving, besides his wife Doreen, two sons and two daughters; Wayne (Tulla) of Quesnel, B.C., Beverley of Stonewall, Valerie (Bruce) Burnell of Edmonton, Garry (Cathy) of Prince George, B.C.; nine grandchildren, one great-grandson; one brother Al (Phyllis) of California; Ceal Schaeffer of Teulon; numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 26 at 2:00 p.m. in the Teulon Rockwood Centennial Centre, Rev. Fr. S. Gacek will officiate. All those in attendance will be honorary pallbearers. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to Tudor House, Selkirk. The MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon, in care of arrangements.
