GLADYS McLEOD (BLOWERS) Peacefully after a lengthy illness and in the presence of her family Gladys McLeod passed away on November 21, 1999. Born in Woodlands, MB, October 1, 1927. She was predeceased by both her parents, as well as four brothers, Jim, Ed, Bob, and Charlie, and one sister Helen. Gladys will be lovingly remembered by her husband of fifty-two years, Robert, as well her daughter Barbara, Shirley (Kris) Benidickson; and son Robert (Valerie). Gladys is also survived by her brother Ralph (Marg) Blowers, as well as many nieces and nephews. Gladys will be missed by her two cherished cats, Cody and Darcy. The family wishes to thank the staff of Riverview Health Centre, palliative care unit for their compassion and care. A memorial service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue on Thursday November 25, at 12:30 p.m. A Reception will follow in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cancer Care Manitoba 100 Olivia St. Street, Winnipeg Manitoba R3C 2B7 or the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Road Winnipeg Manitoba R2L 1X3.
