Dad has gone to join his wife Rose who passed away January, 1989. His parents and his sister Edna predeceased him. he leaves to mourn his children, Marguerite (Allan) Stuart of Abbotsford, B.C., Robert (Charlotte), Roger (Carol), Carolynne (Joseph) Yuen, and Raymond (Robin) all of Winnipeg. Also left to mourn him are 11 grandchildren whom he listed among his greatest accomplishments; seven great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Alma McDougall of Coquitlam, B.C., Rita (Jean Yves) Perron of Magog, Quebec. and his special friend Helen Stewart. Dad worked for CN Rail 37 years retiring in 1979, after his retirement he worked as a Commissionaire. He was a member of the Legion having served his country in the Second World War; he was also a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed travel, travelling extensively with Mom and in his later years with Helen. He enjoyed his summers at Winnipeg Beach. Until diabetes robbed him of his sight he was always puttering around the cottage or doing odd jobs for other residents. We wish he had been healthy enough to enjoy some time there last summer. We thank God that we were able to celebrate his 75th birthday last summer and for the time we had with Dad. He has gone to his reward in Heaven, we know that he is no longer suffering. Prayers will be Tuesday, November 23 at &;30 p.m. at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, November 24, 10:00 a.m. at the church. There will be a private family interment of his remains. We wish to extend our thanks to the staff of GD4 at Health Sciences Centre, C2 at Misericordia Centre and C3 at Riverview Health Centre for their care and compassion towards Dad. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association, or a charity of your choice. KNYSH FUNERAL CHAPEL 582-0973
