WILMA EVA JORDAN (nee TAIT) It is with great sadness that the family members announce the very sudden passing of Wilma Eva Jordan on Sunday, November 21, 1999 at the age of 73 years. Left to cherish her beautiful memory are her husband of 45 years, Patrick; son Curt (Joan) daughter Jo-Anne (Willie) grandchildren, Chris (Deb), Sean (Maureen), Jennifer, Bryan, Tanya; great-grandchildren, Erin, Nicole, Jessica, Devon, Tori, Ashley and Marissa; brother Joe; sisters, Delores (Ray) Bel and June (Frank) Baird and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Wilma was predeceased by her son Allen in 1977 and later her parents, Joseph and Helen Tait. Mom was born on June 16, 1926 in Winnipeg where she resided her entire life. Mom worked at Eatons for over 20 years where she made a lot of lasting friendships. Mom was a loving and caring person who lived for her family. She was always ready to lend a hand. Mom enjoyed her many trips she and Dad made in their motorhome to the East Coast and Florida with their children, grandchildren, relatives and friends and her once a year visit with the Clark family in Barrie, Ont. who she was on her way to see at the time of her passing. Since retiring Mom has enjoyed getting together with the group from Eatons on Mondays for bowling. Mom was a devoted member of St. Johns Cathedral where she was known for her friendliness and her ability of making everyone feel welcome. She will be remembered for her Sunday lunches at the Church and of course her famous tarts that she so enjoyed making for family and friends. Mom was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother playing a vital role in the raising of grandchildren and most recently great-grandchild Marissa, her constant companion on shopping trips to Safeway and Polo Park. At moms request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at St. Johns Cathedral, 135 Anderson Ave., Winnipeg on Friday, November 26 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, a donation may be made in Moms memory to the St. Johns Cathedral Memorial Fund, 135 Anderson Ave., Winnipeg, Man., R2W 5M4.
