ERNEST (FERGIE) FERGUSON With his granddaughter and great-granddaughter by his side, 92 year old Papa passed away peacefully on Monday, November 22, 1999, at Central Park Lodge, Poseidon. Ernest (Fergie) is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 63 years, Florence Ferguson and daughter Carol Ferguson; his most cherished granddaughters, Carolyn Loewen (Chuck) and Susan Murphy (David) and treasured great-granddaughters, MacKenzie and Madison Loewen and Bennett Murphy. In Vancouver, BC he will be most sadly missed by his loving sister Sheila Drake; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who dearly loved their Uncle Ernie. Fergie was born on August 1, 1907 in Arden, an area of Manitoba that his great-grandfather travelled to, leading a wagon train from Eastern Canada and settled in the 1800s. We will always remember Fergie as a tireless worker with driving bus on the Winnipeg to Kenora route, as well as to the United States, bringing him the fondest memories. He moved to Kenora, during the 1930s and remained there until 1967, at which time he relocated back to Winnipeg. A memorial service of celebration will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 25 at Neil Bardal Inc., 942 Portage Ave. (Aubrey Street entrance) with Rev. Dr. Gordon Taylor, Fort Garry United Church, conducting the service. Even though Fergie did not have the opportunity of travelling to Scotland, a Scottish Piper will be in attendance to honour his revered heritage. Heartfelt and grateful thanks are extended to the Central Park Lodge (Poseidon) staff for their continual care and kindness. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the charity of ones choice. To quote his three year old great-granddaughter, Bennett, Its okay Papa. God and Jesus are coming to take you to see your Mommy and Daddy. Neil Bardal Inc. 949-2200
