VANDALE After a courageous battle with cancer, on Tuesday, November 23, 1999, Rene Vandale passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 63 years. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 41 and a half years, Jeannette (nee Vandale) daughters, Suzanne (Marcel) Cote, Rozanne (Roger) Vandale-Musso; grandchildren, Denis and Julie Cote, and Christine, Sylvie, and Renee Vandale-Musso. Also left to mourn his passing are his brother Rhiel, sisters, Diane Ellard, Anita (Joe) Perreault, Noella (Henry) Kehler, Rose-Marie Boissinot; sister-in-law Marie-Paul Vandale; brothers-in-law, Reg Cayer, Oscar Levesque, Cecil Main, and Charles Sansregret. He also leaves his extended family, Gratia (Allan) Maness, Lucienne (Raymond) Lambert, Gilles (Louise) Vandale, Gisele (Paul) Gauthier; special niece Brigitte; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Rene was predeceased by his parents, Rosario and Cecile; sisters, Lenore, Rita, Irene, Dorothy and Lucille; brother Gilbert; brothers-in-law, Fern and Rene; parents-in-law, Alphonse and Agnes Vandale; and two nephews, Guy and Ken. His presence will be sadly missed by all his pals at the Sals with whom he so willingly shared his time and friendship. Rene especially enjoyed spending time at his cabin in Richer. Dear Dad, thank you for the love, guidance and strength shown in times of need. We shall treasure them forever. Special thanks are extended to Dr. Daeninck of the Oncology Department at the St. Boniface Hospital as well as the staff of the Palliative Care Unit. Funeral services for Rene will be held at the Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald St. on Friday, November 26 at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Ron Leger will celebrate the memorial mass. Interment of Renes cremated remains will take place in Green Acres Memorial Gardens following the mass. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements; 775-2220.
