Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALFRED DENNIS (DEAN) HORNBY Dean was born October 23, 1914 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and passed away November 22, 1999 in Pitt Meadows, B.C. Dean is survived by Evelyn, his wife of 57 years; daughter Fern Murray (Chad) son Don (Vicki) and grandchildren, Pamela and Trevor Murray, Holly Gusnowsky (Darren), Chris and Beth Hornby. Dean was predeceased by his sister Dorothy Matheson and is survived by sisters, Aileen Bates, Edith Warwick (Art) and brother Art Hornby (Mary) and several nieces and nephews. Dean was a musician who played in dance bands in Winnipeg and the beaches from the 40s to the 60s. He was an active member of the Pine Ridge Golf Club for many years before moving to B.C. in 1967. His passion was the game of golf, which he enjoyed playing right to the end of his life. Family and friends will fondly remember Dean for his sense of humour. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Deans name, made to a charity of your choice, would be appreciated.
