Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOROTHY CARRISON VIEN (Nee Hutchcroft) It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Dorothy Vien at the Grace Hospital, on November 24, 1999. She was predeceased by her husband Ernest Vien; her parents Harry and Ethel Hutchcroft and her three sisters, Lillian Baptie, Eileen McLeod and Ethel McDonald. Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory three daughters and sons-in-laws, Claudette (Gordon) Temple, Renee (Bill) Krawetz and Yvonne (Garry) Bunkowsky; eight grandchildren, Linda, Craig and Grant Temple, Curtis and Christine Krawetz, Michelle McTaggart, Nya and Jody Bunkowsky; four great-grandchildren, Kavita and Dezai Temple, Zoe Temple-Sandison and Courtney McTaggart. Dorothy was born in Winnipeg on January 27, 1911. She grew up and went to school in Calgary, Alberta, married in 1932 and resided in Winnipeg from then on. Dorothy was an employee of Manitoba Telephone System for 15 years, retiring in 1975. She held several jobs previous to that but was primarily a homemaker and proficient seamstress. She had a wonderful sense of humour and was a kind, generous and loving person. Dorothy lived at the Delta Manor for a number of years and was currently residing at Lions Manor. Dorothy is to be cremated with a private family service to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dorothys memory to the Lions Manor Building Fund, 320 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, R3B 2W6.
