Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryREV. HARRY AINGER MEADOWS "Well done, good and faithful servant." (October 15, 1915 - November 22, 1999) It is with great sadness that the family of the Rev. Harry Meadows of Edmonton, AB, shares the news of his death, at the age of 84 years. He is survived by his beloved wife Elsie; his children, Mervyn (Anne-Marie, Kirsten), Alison (Todd, Brett), Allan (Brandy, Cassie), Lea (Jeremy) his siblings, Walter and Vera (Bert) and by many respected colleagues and friends. He was predeceased in death by his other siblings, Frank, Roy, and Annie; and by his youngest daughter Helen. Mr. Meadows served well and faithfully his God and his Church through his ministry (1935-1976) with the United Church of Canada in Northern Manitoba, Belmont, Medicine Hat, Vancouver and finally Edmonton. His ministry included a dream that low-income seniors could have decent housing. This dream was realized with the construction of Meadowcroft in 1971. He was a life-long advocate of social justice, education, and the proper use of the English language. He made us think, and he made us laugh. We will miss him greatly. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donors choice. A memorial service will be held at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home on Friday, November 26 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Vernon Wishart officiating. Private cremation. THE FLORAL CHAPELS, Connelly-McKinley Ltd., 10011 - 114 St., Edmonton, AB; phone (780) 422-2222.
