CARRIE MIKOLUFF (nee MAZUR) It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, on Wednesday, November 24, 1999 at the age of 93 years, at East Gate Lodge Nursing Home, Beausejour, Man. Carrie was born in Thalberg on August 28, 1906. She met and married her husband Louis on February 3, 1926. Together they farmed in the Lowland District till they retired to Beausejour in 1962. Her husband, Louis, predeceased her in 1971. She had been a resident of East Gate Lodge Nursing Home since 1988. Left to cherish her memory are her five sons, John (Catherine), Walter (Betty), Rudy (Bernice), Bernest and Norman (Bertha) her nine grandchildren, Miranda (Walter), Kenneth (Rose), Sanford (Gloria), Cindy (Glen), Mark, Richard (Josephine), Debbie, Crystal and Kim; also six great-grandsons, Cody, Kyle, Scott, Brett, Bradley and Benjamin. She is also survived by one sister, Mary Glowasky; and two brothers, Nick (Steffie) and Walter. She was predeceased by sisters, Anne and Pauline; and a brother Tony. She is also survived by sister-in-law Agnes Cymbalisty and brother-in-law Joe Mikoluff. Her grandchildren will be her pallbearers. Prayers will be said Friday, November 26 at 8:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, November 27 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, Park Ave. East, Beausejour, with Rev. Fr. John Sholdak the Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing, donations can be made to East Gate Lodge, Box 1690, Beausejour, Man. ROE OCO. The family would like to express their thanks to East Gate Lodge for the care, kindness and compassion offered to Carrie during her lengthy residence there.
