WANDA WASYLENKO (nee BIRD) In loving memory of Wanda Wasylenko (nee Bird), who was born March 9, 1955 and passed away on November 22, 1999. Wanda was born in Winnipeg, MB and spent most of her younger years travelling across Canada with her family. She attended Red River Community College in Winnipeg and made her home there for most of her adult life. It was in Winnipeg that she met her husband Rod and had three children together. They relocated to Alberta where she spent the rest of her life. Wanda passed away peacefully at Foothills Hospital with her family at her side. She was predeceased by her mother Molly Bird and her grandmother Daisy Towle. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Rodney; four children, Tracy Bird, Brittany, Cassandra and Dylan; father Gord Bird; three brothers, Garlon (Pat) Bird, Glen (Renee) Bird and Greg (Pat) Bird; three sisters, Sandra (Rick) Smith, Brenda (Ron) Schneider and Debbie (Dave) Pufahl; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements will be held in Calgary, AB at The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church with prayer service at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 25, and funeral mass on Friday, November 26 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
