Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHLEEN (KAY) JOAN HAWKINS Our mother and grandmother Kay (Nammie) passed away at the Grace Hospital on November 24, 1999 at the wonderful age of 83. She was predeceased by her husband Lloyd and granddaughter Karoline and will be lovingly remembered by her son Kerry and daughter-in-law Kaaren; grandchildren, Evan (Winnipeg) and Onalee (Los Angeles) her two sisters, Shirley Jagtiani (Vancouver), Betty Joy (Victoria), other relatives and friends. Mom was an independent person who lived a full, rich life. She was a strong supporter of St. Marks Lutheran Church and the Ft. Whyte Centre and could always be found recycling her own as well as everyone elses things. Kay loved to laugh, enjoyed good food and adored animals, especially her cat "MANDU" who will dearly miss her. She was a true "lady" as well as a friendly face for those around her, especially the residents of her apartment phase and local businesses. Kay was always lending a hand to those in need whenever she could. Her amazing talent for needlework and her detail towards gardening and plant care will never be forgotten nor will her friendly demeanor and her ability to enjoy people all around her. There will be a memorial service held on Monday, November 29 at 5:00 p.m. at St. Marks Lutheran Church, 600 Cambridge St. In lieu of flowers, friends may make a donation to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the 5th floor at the Grace Hospital for the care and kindness, as well as the friends whose support meant so much to Kay. We love you grandma - may the circle of life continue! NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
