MARY ROSE ROZAK Peacefully, on November 26, 1999, at Red River Place, Mary Rozak, aged 77 years, beloved wife of the late John Rozak. Mary was a loving and caring mother, wife, sister, aunt and friend. Mary was born in Lockport Manitoba on July 11, 1922 and was raised in the Rossdale and St. Andrews areas. She was one of six children born to Polish parents, Anthony and Lettie Federowich. Mary had three sisters, Jessie Kornaga (deceased), Annie Zamolski and Sally (Harry) Stefanyshyn. She had two brothers, Albert (Annie) Federowich and John Federowich (deceased). Mary was predeceased by her loving husband John Rozak (1983) who she married on October 26, 1946 and both of them spent the majority of their married life living on a farm in East Selkirk. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Paulette Anne and two sons, Jim John and John Anthony. One son (Bobbie) died at child birth. Prior to her marriage she worked as a housekeeper. Mary loved to garden and cook. She was a small and quiet person. Despite her size, mom was a hard worker. No task was too small or too hard. Today, these qualities are instilled in her family. He life at times was hard but she never complained. Mom did what she had to do to take care of her family and handle the chores on a farm. When times were tough and difficult our moms love was always there. Something that people didnt know about Mary, was that she loved to watch wrestling and follow the soap opera, Another World. Mary was a religious person who left her fate in Gods hands. Her family and friends will miss her but she will always be in all our hearts. The family would like to thank the staff at Red River Place for their kindness and care shown to their mother. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 1999, at 10:30 a.m., in the Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, with Father Boguslaw Wardzinski officiating, viewing prior to the service. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Jim, John, and I have missed you deeply after losing you six long years ago. We think of you often and never a day goes by without our remembering something you said or did. You were our Rock of Gibraltar, steadfast in your loving mother's love. You were wonderfully wise, gentle, and caring, the epitome of what all mothers should be. God bless you and keep you safe in heaven. We love you, Mom. - Posted by: Paulette Rozak (Family) on: Jan 24, 2006
