Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALICE STRIOWSKI It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our dearly loved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the St. Boniface Hospital on Saturday, November 27, 1999. Predeceased in 1995 by her husband Ed, Alice is survived by her daughter Arlene (Bob Wetter) and son Wayne (Brenda). She also leaves to mourn her grandchildren Kim (Tony Perillo), Sandy (Rod Schriener), Robbie Wetter (Natalie), Michael, Michelle Striowski and great-grandchildren Joel, Kayla, Matteo and Amanda and sister-in-law Florence (Graham), nieces and nephews. Alice was born in Winnipeg on August 28, 1916. She was married to her husband Ed for 58 years. Alice worked for several years at Eatons in the mail-order department. She also enjoyed visiting with the seniors at Gray Street United and Holy Cross Lutheran Churches. Alice loved the lake and spending time with her family. Alices family would like to express a special thanks to Alex Logan for all his care and help over the years. Also a sincere thanks to the caring staff at the St. Boniface Hospital, 3rd Floor Palliative Care, especially Dr. Harlos, Marie, Terry, Rachel and student nurse Brenda. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., R3C 2B7. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 1, at 1:30 p.m. from the chapel at Glen Eden Funeral Home (4477 Main Street) with Rev. Gordon Fulford officiating. Interment to follow in the Garden of the Old Rugged Cross, Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
