FRANK EMMANUEL WILLIMENT It is with deepest sadness that we announce Dads passing on Monday, November 29, 1999 at his home, surrounded by his loved ones. He will be sadly missed by his very special friend Eleanor Anderstedt; his daughter Eileen (Bill) Davidson of Ashern and their family, Dianna of Grand Cayman, Daniel (Shaleen) of Vacaville, CA, and Charles of Ashern, his son Robert (Lenore) Williment of Hadashville and their family, Robert (Rose) of Ashern and Joey (Cory) of Regina, SK; also his dear great-grandchildren, Dylan and Tyler Williment of Ashern. He will also be remembered fondly by the Andrestedt family and his special little "Pals" who were so important to Dad. He will also be missed by his brothers, Edgar (Myrtle) of Carmen, Walter (Dorothy) of McCreary, Elmer (Pearl) of Winnipeg, Raymond (Yvonne) of Vernon, BC, his sisters, Olive Morrow of Morden, Alice McIntyre of Vancouver, Grace Pfeil of Winnipeg and his sister-in-law, Alice Williment of Miami; as well as many nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by his wife Stella in 1988; his son Barry in 1966; his grandson Ronald in 1968; brother Allan; and his parents, Emmanuel and Emma Williment. Frank was born December 9, 1919, the fifth child born to Emmanuel and Emma Williment. He was raised and received his schooling in the Opawaka District west of Miami, MB. As a young man, he settled on a quarter section of farm land in the same district. It was here he married and his three children were born. With the idea of expanding their farming operations, the family moved to Mulvihill in 1953. In the early 1960s Dad formed Williment Building Construction and this company grew to become one of the most respected construction companies in the Interlake. Although Frank was retired to Eriksdale and the company dissolved there are nearly 150 fine buildings that stand as an example of his work from Grand Rapids to Ile des Chenes, MB. In Eriksdale alone there are 16 homes and eight commercial buildings. Dad took great pride in his company and even after retiring, he was always interested in new developments in the building trade and reminiscing about how things used to be done. Some of his fondest time in the past few years have been his hours spent with his "Coffee Buddies" listening to their stories, making deals and adding his dry sense of humour to the conversation. He always enjoyed his independence and loved to go for a drive to Arborg, Lundar or Portage la Prairie with Eleanor, sometimes just for a meal. His children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a source of pride to Dad. He always was interested in all their activities and was blessed to have all of them home to visit in the past month. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 3 at 2:00 p.m. in the Eriksdale Recreation Complex with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Interment to follow in the Eriksdale Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Craig Hughson, Al Kelner, Ernie Anderstedt, Lawrence Juniper, Fairlie Kinkead and Keith Lundale. Honourary pallbearers are all his friends and especially Dads "Coffee Buddies". Friends and relatives may pay their respects from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 2 at Arnason Funeral Home in Ashern. Viewing also at the hall prior to the service. The family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. Steyn and the staff at Eriksdale Hospital for their constant support which allowed us to give Dad his wish to stay at home. A most special and heartfelt thanks goes to his very special "nurse", Eleanor without whose strength and knowledge we could not have coped. No one could have been more blessed than Dad was. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire donations may be made in Franks memory to a charity of their choice. arrangements by: Arnason Funeral Homes Ltd. Ashern - Lundar 1 (204) 768-2072
