Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHARRY JAMES BAKER Harry James Baker passed away peacefully at home after a lengthy illness on Monday, November 29, 1999 at the age of 73 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Dorothy; four sons and families, Rick (Ingrid), with Cary and Keith, Robert (Brenda) with Ryan, Kelsey and Nicole, David (Gwen) with Laura and Jeffrey, and Paul. Also surviving are two sisters, Irene Roberts and Isobel Casey (Ted) a brother George Baker (Rosalie) as well as four sisters-in-law, Thorey Johnson, Lillian Birston, Claire Christensen and Margaret Henrikson; numerous nieces and nephews. His parents, a brother Charlie and a sister Eileen Ganes predeceased him. Born in Windthorst, Saskatchewan, Harry moved to Selkirk, Manitoba with C.P. Rail where he met his wife and where their four sons were born. In 1968, they came to Calgary with Harrys position as Western Canadian Sales Representative with Manitoba Rolling Mills. He was a life member of the Kinsman Club and active with the K-40s and also found much pleasure in his various outdoor pursuits. A Service of Remembrance will be held at the Lutheran Church of the Cross, 10620 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary on Friday, December 3 at 2:00 p.m., Pastor Joe Rostad officiating. Cremation Calgary Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations may be made to the Church Organ Fund or the Unit 59 Bed Fund at the Rockyview General Hospital, 7007 - 14 St. S.W., Calgary, AB T2V 1P9.
