HAZEL IRENE PIZEY Passed away in Ottawa Civic Hospital on October 19, 1999. Hazel was the daughter of Henry Saxon and Mary Ann Pizey and the sister of Doris, Ruby, Stanley and Harold, all of whom predeceased her. She was born in Lachine, P.Q. and the family moved first to Hamilton, Ont. before settling in Winnipeg in the early 1920s. Hazel attended Cecil Rhodes Elementary and Daniel McIntyre High Schools. In 1940 Hazel accepted a position in the Federal Civil Service and moved to Ottawa where she lived the rest of her life, all the while maintaining close contact with her extended family in Winnipeg and elsewhere in Canada and the U.S. She leaves to mourn many grieving nieces and nephews and their families. Interment in Brookside Cemetery alongside her parents.
