Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT CONNOR DICKSON Robert Dickson passed away peacefully on Monday, November 29, 1999 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Bob was predeceased by his father in the First World War, his mother in 1940, brother in 1947 and an infant sister. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years Bertha (Bert) daughter Linda (Michael) Starosilec; son Jim (Heather) grandchildren, Shawn (Susan) Starosilec, Rob (Glenda) Starosilec, Regan (Clint) Nerbas and Tyler Dickson; great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Brett. Bob served in the Navy during the Second World War, aboard the minesweeper "Blairmore", sweeping the channel at Omaha Beach for D-Day. He was also very proud to be affiliated with the White Ensign Club at Chippawa. After the war, Dad became a manufacturers representative and ended his working days with Canadays Apparel, with 20 years of service. Also, he was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Dad will be remembered by all who knew him, not only as the perfect gentleman, but the perfect, gentle, man. The family would like to thank Dr. Leon Michaels and the doctors and staff of the St. Boniface General Hospital for their care and compassion. There will be a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 3 in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, with the Rev. Dr. Bruce A. Miles officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined.
