TREVOR WILLIAM (ROBBIE) ROBINSON Robbie passed away on November 29, 1999 after a long fight with kidney and heart disease. Robbie was born in London in 1919. During the Second World War he was in the first group of navigators of the RAF that trained at Stevensons Field in Winnipeg. Robbie served with RAF Bomber Command flying out of Egypt and England. While serving with Bomber Command in the Pathfinders, he was seriously injured when his Mosquito crashed on return to England. After the war he returned to Canada, which he always loved, working at Red River Co-op, Whitehall Laundry and the Department of Co-operative Development of the Manitoba Government. He leaves his wife Ruth of Winnipeg; son Peter of Davis, (California), son Paul of Vancouver; five granddaughters, Heather, Pamela, Sarah, Emma and Meg; sister Margaret of Llandovery, (Wales) and nieces, Hazel, Linda and Wendy in the U.K. A celebration of Robbies life will be held on Friday, December 3 at 10:00 a.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, with the Rev. Gordon Shields officiating. Special thanks to the Dialysis Unit at St. Boniface and grateful thanks to the caring staff at the Morden Dialysis Unit, especially Dr. McKenzie and Mona Livingston who treated him so thoughtfully.   • My husband Eric, also known as Robbie, died on 24th March 2000, only 4 months after Trevor. He desperately wanted to get in touch with Trevor, and wrote several letters, but sadly never had a reply.
