Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROY CLEMENT DOCKING Peacefully at home in his sleep, Roy passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 1999. Roy is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Betty; sons, Gordon (Lorraine) of Miami, Man., Alex (Jill) of Regina, Sask., Bob (Pat) of Vancouver, B.C.; former daughter-in-law Tannis; grandchildren, Genevieve Neufeld (Kelly) of Fredericton, N.B., Alexandra of Miami, Tyler of Regina, Clinton Wong of Vancouver, Caitlin of Vancouver; sister-in-law Laura Docking; many nephews and nieces throughout the country; predeceased by parents, brother Mel and sister Mabel. Born in Swan Lake, Manitoba on February 3, 1904, Dad spent his early years in Summerland, B.C. and Grenfelll, Saskatchewan, eventually settling in Neepawa, Manitoba. Dad helped his father operating a dairy farm and worked at Peddlers Garage in Neepawa. Dad enlisted in the R.C.A.F. in 1941 and served until 1946. In 1946 Dad, in partnership with Bill Ash, operated Holmes Carburetor of Winnipeg until 1969. From 1969 to 1979 Dad served as a Commissionaire, especially enjoying his years at Red River College. Dad was a faithful and active member of St. James Presbyterian Church. He served as a member of the Board of Managers for many years, often serving as chair. Dad was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed his family and friends. He also enjoyed sports - football, curling, golf, hockey, etc. Mom and Dad both enjoyed travel, spending many happy times travelling coast to coast in Canada and a memorable trip to Great Britain. He loved to visit numerous friends and relatives. Dad was truly a gentle man who is remembered for his constant smile and accepting manner - never a harsh or critical word. Dad was a man of quiet faith who looked forward to being reunited with family and friends who have gone before. A private interment has taken place at Brookside Cemetery. Memorial service will be held at the St. James Presbyterian Church, 1476 Portage Ave., at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 3. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice or to the St. James Presbyterian Church. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
