Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWAYNE ARTHUR Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, with his dear wife, Bev Morton at his side, Wayne passed away on November 30, 1999 at Selkirk & District General Hospital. Wayne was born in Port Arthur, Ontario on May 19, 1943. Wayne leaves to mourn his loving and cherished wife Bev Morton; his mother Mariclaire Boomhower of Thunder Bay; his father Sam Arthur of Winnipeg; brothers, Roy Arthur (Sharon Olsen) of Thunder Bay, Bob (Barb) Arthur of Hutchinson, Minnesota; his sister Liz Clowes of Winnipeg; Fred and Eve Morton of Hollywood, Florida; sister-in-law Sandra Morton Weizman (Gabriel) nieces, Rebecca and Aviva; and nephews, Bob Jr., Jamie and Benjamin. Wayne was an accomplished sculptor in Manitoba. His main projects were "Caring Hands" at Deer Lodge Centre, an aboriginal hunting scene at the Forks National Historic Site, Petersfield Mallard, Meleb Mushrooms and Poplarfield King Buck and he has many pieces in private collections. With Waynes strong commitment to the Arts, Wayne and Bev decided to display and sell the artwork of other Manitoba artists, On December 1, 1995, they opened the Wayne Arthur Sculpture & Craft Gallery at their home near Selkirk. We would like to thank Dr. Demsas, Dr. Olweny, Dr. Daeninck; nurses, Trudy, Lou, Adele and Eleanor; volunteers, Corrie and Linda. Special thanks to Simone Stenekes, palliative care coordinator, and Sandra Skwarek, home care nurse. Heartfelt thanks to our close friends, Joanne, Alan, Diane and Dennis. Flowers gratefully declined, if desired, donations may be made in Wayne Arthurs memory to Selkirk & District General Hospital Palliative/Support Care Services, 100 Easton, P.O.
