KLARA BAUKNECHT On December 2, 1999 at Bethania Mennonite Personal Care home, Klara Bauknecht passed away. Klara was born in Stuttgart, Germany on February 27, 1908 and came to Canada in 1957. She was predeceased by her husband Eugene in 1981; and their son Guenter in 1994. Klara is survived by her son Heinz and his wife Alice; son Eugene and his wife Sophie; daughter-in-law Frida of Port Alberni, B.C.; grandchildren, Wendy Friesen (Jeri) of Altona, Ken Bauknecht of Winnipeg, Michelle Stilwell (Mark) of Calgary, Alberta, Susi Fudge (Norman) of Port Alberni, B.C.; great-grandchildren, Terri-Lee, Jason and Sara. A funeral service will be held from the chapel at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street on Tuesday, December 7, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Bruce Gelhorn officiating. Interment Garden of Devotion at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. The family would like to send a special thanks to all the staff of the Bethania Mennonite Personal Care Home for their loving care and concern. Donations in Klaras memory may be made to the Alzheimers Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2 or to a charity of ones choice in lieu of flowers.
