JOSEPHINE RANOSKY (nee MEDEL) 1920 - 1999 After a short illness, Josephine Ranosky passed away peacefully at the Regina General Hospital on December 5, 1999. She will be missed by her daughters, Carla Harman (Ron), Jan Zajac (Allen) six grandchildren, Michaelyn Hoven, Christen Oram, Brynn Harman, Phillip Zajac, Joey Zajac, Jamie Zajac; two great-grandchildren, Chantel Zajac and Emily Ullrich-Zajac. Josie was predeceased by her son Michael; siblings, Frank, Walter and Nellie (Medel) and her parents, Jan and Anna Medel. Josie was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB. She devoted her life to raising her three children, moving to Regina in 1982 to be closer to family. Her children and grandchildren have fond memories of summers spent at the cabin at West Hawk Lake. Grandma enjoyed teaching the grandchildren to knit, cook traditional ethnic foods and bake. She will be dearly missed by family and friends. Special thanks to Ann, Helen and Cecile for their friendship at the Faith Baptist Seniors Apartment, Dr. Charles Messer for his compassion and caring over the years and the staff at the MPICU for their excellent care. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 8 at 2:00 p.m. at the Regina Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 East, with a reception for family and friends to immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, friends so wishing may make a donation in Josies memory to the charity of their choice. Arrangements are entrusted to REGINA FUNERAL HOME (Phone 306-789-8850).
