KONSTINTINE (KEN) KUZEK Peacefully, on Saturday, December 4, 1999, Konstintine (Ken) Kuzek passed away at Concordia Hospital at age 77. Ken was born on May 19, 1922 in Selo Mychalcha, Storoznecky, Rayon Chernovecka Oblast, Western Ukraine. In 1952 Ken immigrated to Canada and settled in Winnipeg where he was employed by Dominion Bronze until his retirement in 1987. Ken was a member of the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Winnipeg. After retirement he enjoyed socializing with friends at the Seniors Club at Institute Prosvita at 777 Pritchard Avenue. Throughout his life Ken enjoyed woodworking and gardening. He also enjoyed being with his family and entertaining friends. Ken was predeceased by his first wife in 1992. His memory will be cherished by his wife Anna; daughters, Mary (Dennis) Gray, Connie (Ken) Toews, Irene, Sonia; as well as many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and relatives in Ukraine. On behalf of Kens wife Anna and family, special thank you to Dr. Dirks and the medical staff at Concordia Hospital. Panachyda (prayers) will be said on Wednesday, December 8 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Divine liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, December 9 at 11:00 a.m. at the Metropolitan Cathedral of The Holy Trinity, 1175 Main Street, with Very Rev. Father H. Lakusta officiating, assisted by Rt. Rev. Father D. Luchak. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Peter, William and Stephen Korbutiak, Donald Tymko, John Pernerowsky and Paul Krawchuk. Vichnaya Pamyat Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, phone 586-8044.
