Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLAWRENCE DYRKACZ April 23, 1942 - December 4, 1999 On Saturday December 4, 1999, Mr. Lawrence Dyrkacz aged 57 years beloved husband of Linda passed away suddenly at his residence in Tyndall, Man. Larry loved his family more than anything else in the world. Linda, Lorinda and Lisa, along with Todd, Stephen and Sydney will miss his patience, his quiet wit and his gentle unassuming nature. He was always there for all of us. He took great pride in his precision workmanship and would work for hours to make every detail perfect. Larry was a quiet man who looked after all the little details in life. He never drew attention to himself, but was very proud of all the accomplishments of his family. Larry began teaching in 1962. He taught in Elm Creek, Altamont, Brandon, Inglis, Lac du Bonnet and Beausejour. When he quit teaching, he went into the engraving business. His last years gave him much personal satisfaction doing work he loved, surrounded by people who loved him. His granddaughter Sydney was his pride and joy and he talked about her endlessly. Larry contributed to many community endeavours. He was president of the Lac du Bonnet Lions Club, a member of various other clubs and boards and most recently chairman of JUST Training Corporation. Larry was born and raised in Winnipegosis. He always loved the water and spent many joyful hours fishing with his brother and friends. Larry was predeceased by his mother and father. He is survived by his brother John and his wife Mae of Dauphin, Man. John was Larrys mentor and role model. Larrys sudden passing has been a tremendous shock to his family who expected his steady calm influence to continue for many more years. His longtime friends, coffee buddies and neighbours, Roger Repar, Walter Staniul, John Penner, Lorne Barske, Ken Klein and Roger Dube will be honourary pallbearers. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday December 8 at 2:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Beausejour, with Rev. Fr. Owen Steeves officiating. Friends may pay their respects prior to the service. Service will terminate at the chapel with cremation to follow. In the spirit of Christmas, Larry would appreciate donations being made to the Beausejour Food Bank Box 880 Beausejour, Manitoba, ROE OCO in his memory.
