Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTANLEY TOMKOWICZ Peacefully on Saturday, December 4, 1999, Stanley Tomkowicz passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital at age 77. Stanley was predeceased by his loving wife Halina on June 19, 1992; and his brother Antoni on December 22, 1997. Left to treasure his memory are his daughters, Emily (Michael Chaykowski) and Pola (Mike Tomney), sons, Joe (Ramona Rousseau) and Casey (Nancy) grandchildren, Stephanie, Christine, Katya, Nicholas and Natasha; and his special friend Stella Lis. Stanley was born in Poland, moved to Canada after the war, then to Snow Lake where he worked as an underground miner. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with friends and family. He was also an avid curler in his younger years. On retirement he moved to Winnipeg. Stanley was a fun loving man. He loved his family and took great pride in his grandchildren. He enjoyed life to the fullest and was always able to find humour in any situation. He enjoyed his many casino trips with friends. Stanley will always be remembered for his strong work ethics, his honest forthright mannerisms, his generous spirit and wonderful sense of humour. Many thanks to Dr. Miller and all the nurses of Seven Oaks Hospital who gave such wonderful care to Dad. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stanleys memory to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot, Winnipeg, R3A 1P6 or the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3B 2H8. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 9, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Cantius Roman Catholic Church, 846 Burrows Ave. with Fr. Henryk Uczniak officiating. Viewing will be held at the church one half hour prior to the mass. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Ave. Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements; 586-8044.
