SHIRLEY AERSSENS (BROOK) October 7, 1936 - December 5, 1999 We sadly announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mom, Shirley Aerssens, on December 5, 1999, with her children by her side, following a courageous battle with cancer. Shirley leaves to mourn had cherish her memory her children, Johnny (Traci), Heather (Ken), Sandra (Paul), Jeff; grandchildren, Kerry, Melissa, Alana, Jordyn, Royce and Dustin; and her sister Bev. Auntie Shirl will be missed by her many nieces and nephews; and also by her many special friends. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Bernice Brook; brother Jack; and granddaughter Leah. A memorial service will be conducted by Rev. Jeff Cook on Friday, December 10 at 10:30 a.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. A private family interment to follow. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Cancer Clinic and the staff of Riverview Health Centre for all of their care and compassion. We will always remember our Mom for her bravery, her courageousness, her positive outlook on life and her kindness towards others. She was more than our Mom, she was our friend. She will be missed.
