DONALD ROBERT (BOB) WRAY Change of Service Date Peacefully on December 6, 1999 at the age of 69 years, Pops passed away with his loving family at his side in the Riverview Health Centre, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Bob was born December 21, 1929 in Aneroid, Saskatchewan. He was raised in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan by his parents Clarence and Adeline Wray. From 1948 to 1991, he worked for the Canadian Pacific Railway, first in Saskatoon and Regina, Saskatchewan and then in Winnipeg. In 1958, he married Rena Sylvester and then raised three children. Bob has lived in Winnipeg with his family since 1969. Pops was an avid reader with a strong interest in political history. He loved classical music and was a skilled artist, who enjoyed sharing his talents with his family. As a devoted husband and father, Dad was always available to provide humour, love, guidance, and wisdom in times of need. Above all, he valued education, integrity, patience, and tolerance. Bob will be lovingly remembered by his brother Chic and sister-in-law Trix of Moose Jaw; by his brother Norm and sister-in-law Sandy of Prince George, BC; by his life-long friend Rena of Victoria, BC; by his daughter Karen, son-in-law James, and grandsons Quinton and Landon of Victoria, BC; by his son Dave, daughter-in-law Lynda, and granddaughters Jennifer and Megan of Winnipeg; by his son Craig and daughter-in-law Martina of Oakland, California; by his many nieces and nephews; and by his friends. Funeral service will be held at Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, on December 9 at 1:00 p.m. The service will terminate in the chapel with cremation to follow. A private family interment of the remains will follow the next day at Brookside Cemetery. The family sincerely thanks the staff of Riverview Health Centre for their warm and loving care of Pops, especially over the past month.
