BEULAH NADINE COLBURN December 6, 1927 - December 9, 1999 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved "Auntie Beulah". Beulah faced her lengthy illness with courage and strength of spirit while steadfastly maintaining her care and concern for others. Beulah was an active, vital member of the community. She generously gave her time for the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, served the Canadian Red Cross, and was an active member of her church for many years. From October, 1966 to September, 1990 Beulah cared for others as a V.O.N. homemaker, where her cheerful personality made her a popular and welcomed friend to many. Beulahs membership in the Seniors Club brought her many happy hours and close support of friends. Never one to fear a challenge, Beulah travelled to Europe and throughout North America and she was always eager to see what new things each day would bring. Predeceased by her parents, Vroona M. and Rufus F. Colburn, Beulah will be sadly missed by her sister Gertrude (Trudy) Colburn; her nieces and nephews, Valerie and Marshal Hansen, David and Florence May, Frank and Peggy May, and Rhonda and Gary Pyryhora; her great-nieces and nephews, Cory, Chody, Rufus, and Christopher May and by many friends and relatives. Beulahs family would like to thank the staff of the Grace Hospital for their dedication and care, with special thanks to Connie for all she did for our Auntie Maj. Vi Chaulk helped Beulah through difficult times and we deeply appreciate her support. We are grateful for Beulahs wonderful friend Lorraine who generously gave her time, care and support before and throughout Beulahs long illness. Funeral services for Beulah will be held at the Salvation Army Heritage Park Church, 825 School Road, on Monday, December 13. Viewing will take place between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Major Vi Chaulk will officiate. Reception will follow. Private interment will take place in Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Beulah to the C.N.I.B., the Winnipeg Humane Society, or to a charity of ones choice. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220.
