MARJORIE ELIZABETH GETHING Peacefully, following a brief illness, in the early morning hours of December 9, 1999 Marjorie Elizabeth Gething passed away at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 76 years. Marjorie will be lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law Dorothea Dyrleif Gething; nieces and nephews, Howard Haines Gething and family, Judith Dyrleif Call and family, Richard David Gething and family, all of California; cousins, Alice McMillen and Hazel Patterson and their families of Winnipeg; also cousins, Bess Morton and Beulah Plactes of California and their families. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Gladys Mae Gething; sister Lillian Mae Gething; and brother Henry Howard Gething. Marjorie was a bubbly and outgoing friendly lady; she enjoyed mall walking, bowling and spending time with all her friends at the Colorado Estates apartment complex and with special thanks to Bill and Carole Crossley, Doris Dawson, Henry and Irene Bees and Barry and Joan Christie. Marjorie was a lifelong resident of St. James and attended St. James Collegiate. She was employed with the Manitoba Department of Health from 1942 until her retirement in1982. In keeping with Marjories wishes, there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marjories memory to a charity of ones choice.
