Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWINIFRED LOWE Peacefully, surrounded by family on December 8, 1999, Winifred Lowe, age 81 years, passed away at the Seven Oaks General Hospital. Mom was born in Wales, February 18, 1918 and arrived in Canada, where she met and married Arthur Lowe, October 15, 1949. As Dad was in the Armed Forces, home was in many different places including Churchill, Abertillery, Antwerp, Clear Lake, finally settling in Winnipeg. Mom was very active in the West Kildonan area with both the Legion Branch No. 30 and the Senior Recreation Club. Along with many friends she enjoyed darts, curling, five pin and lawn bowling. She also loved camping with her family and friends at St. Malo. Mom was an outgoing person who was full of life, always willing to help out where needed and quick to make friends. Even in her latter years she remained young at heart. Mom was predeceased by her husband Arthur in August, 1985; sisters, Blanche, Vera, brothers, Wilf, Frank, Cliff and Len. She is survived by her son Brad (Janice), daughter Wendy Bloomfield (Sid) grandchildren, John, Dave, Alissa, Derrick, Daniel and great-granddaughter Shayne. She is also survived by her sister Gwen and brother Ray and many nieces and nephews in the United Kingdom. In lieu of flowers, donations in Moms memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Moms life will be held on Monday, December 13 at 10:00 a.m. Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., 586-8044, is in care of arrangements.
