Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJULIE AGNES (STEWART) MITCHELL It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother and grandmother, Julie Mitchell, at the age of 83. Julie was born in Saskatoon, SK on November 11, 1916 to Hazel (nee Brown) and Walter Stewart and passed away peacefully at home in Roblin on December 8, 1999. Julie and Graham were married on December 24, 1942 in Hamilton, ON. Following the war they moved to Roblin, MB where they have lived since then. Julie was very involved in helping Graham at Mitchells Drug Store. Julie was also a very strong community supporter. She was involved with the Roblin Hospital Aid, Roblin Ladies Curling Club and was a member of both the Order of Eastern Star and the Evangaline Rebekah Lodge for over 50 years. Travelling was a favourite pastime of Julies, whether it was to the family cottage at Madge Lake, on a family holiday or to the Silver Broom Curling Championships. Her many interests included collecting dolls, spoons and curling pins. She was also a dedicated crocheter turning out many afghans for family and friends. Julie was a wonderful loving and helping wife to Graham for 57 years. Along with Julies loving husband Graham, Julie will be sadly missed by her family of whom she was so very proud, Hazel Mitchell, Don Young and stepdaughter Karle; and Jim and Annie Mitchell and her two very special grandchildren, Whitney and Jamie. Funeral services will be held on December 11 at the Roblin Knox United Church at 2:00 p.m. with Peggy Barrows officiating. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to The Childrens Hospital Foundation, CE501, 840 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1F1 or to the Roblin Aquatic Centre, Roblin Town Office, Roblin, MB R0L 1P0. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Nairn Chyz Funeral Home (204) 937-2111.
