Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVIOLET RUBY PALMER Violet Ruby Palmer, 82, went home to be with her Lord on December 7, 1999. She was predeceased by her parents; two brothers and two sisters. Violet will be deeply missed by husband Wally; daughter Lynda of Vancouver, son Barry (Brenda) grandchildren, Jennifer and Jason; great-granddaughter Daria; brother Cecil (Marcea) of Wainwright, AB; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Violet was born in 1917 in Ribstone, AB, received her education there, moving to Winnipeg in 1939 to attend Winnipeg Bible School. She and Wally were married in 1943. She retired from the pharmacy department of Misericordia Hospital in 1982. She was a loving and supportive woman who lived out her strong Christian faith in many practical ways, in particular through service with children in her church. Funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Ken Johnson on Monday, December 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Kilcona Park Alliance Church, 1977 Norris Rd., (McIvor Ave. and Lagimodiere Blvd.) with interment (Transcona Cemetery) and reception to follow. Violets pallbearers will be Jason Palmer, Henry Jersak, Ron Jersak, Curtis Johnson, Len Thiessen, and Marc Teleglow. In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Violet may be made to World Vision Canada, P.O. Box 2500, Mississauga, ON L5M 2H2. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
