JEAN (AGATHA) TREPOFF (nee SECONDIAK) Peacefully and with great dignity, Jean was received into the arms of our Lord on Thursday, December 9, 1999 at Concordia Hospital. Jean was born on March 17, 1907 at Buchanan, Sask. She was predeceased by her husband Sandre in 1953 and was the last survivor of seven children, Alex, John, Albin, Annie, Lily and Rose. Mom will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Sidney Trepoff, Marilyn Krochak (Rev. Deacon Michael), Barbara Hebert and grandchildren, Timothy, Kevin, Celeste, Vincent and Ian Krochak, Derek (Camella) and Perry (Erin) Trepoff, as well as family members and friends. Jean worked as a clerk in Cold Lake General Store, Cold Lake, Manitoba and later married her "boss" Sandre and together they owned and operated the Store and Bakery. They were well known in the community and very generous to the people of the North. Jean was widowed at a young age and worked diligently to educate and provide for her children. She was a woman of faith who trusted in God for daily strength. She had a strong work ethic and instilled this value to her family. She was a well informed person, deeply honest and treated others fairly. She was a wonderful cook and homemaker and loved to entertain in her home. She had beautiful gardens and shared her harvest with others. Many have received afghans that she took great pride in crocheting. We are saddened by her loss but take comfort that she was able to live independently until 92 years of age, a gift that she herself treasured. Mom we will miss your presence in our lives as mother and grandmother at all of our family gatherings, especially Christmas Eve. We know that God has prepared a special room for you, it must be very beautiful as it took Him so many years to build it. Pallbearers will be Kevin Korchak, Vincent Korchak, Ian Korchak, Perry Trepoff, ted Waller and Peter Hebert. Cantoring will be done by Celeste Krochak. Funeral prayers will be said on Sunday, December 12 at 7:30 p.m. at Canora Funeral Chapel, Canora, Saskatchewan. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, December 13 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Helen and Constantine Ukrainian Catholic Church, (Vaslovitz) District, Saskatchewan. Rev. Deacon Michael Krochak will officiate. Interment will follow in the Churchyard Cemetery. We the family gratefully acknowledge the many daily acts of kindness and prayers offered by so many friends. A special thank you to Dr. Gorski and the wonderful, caring staff on 3 East at Concordia Hospital - you truly are Angels of Mercy. A special thank you to ted and Judy for their devoted friendship. Eternal Rest Grant Unto her O Lord, and Let Perpetual Light Shine upon her. Rest in Peace, Dear Mom, Grandma, Vichnaya Pamyat In Jeans memory donations may be made to a charitable organization of ones choice. Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 586-8044.
