CHARLES ADAM WILD Peacefully, on December 10, 1999 Charles Wild passed away at the age of 77. Charlie is survived by Blanche, his wife of 55 years; his children, Charlene and Terry (Barb) grandchildren, Lesley, Rick, Michele (Guy) and Paula; four great-grandchildren; brothers, John, Lou, Leo; and sisters, Ethel, Kay and Josefa as well as other relatives and friends. Born in Odessa, Saskatchewan Charlie was one of 14 children. Charlie was a teacher for a short period of time before being stationed overseas as a navigator with the R.C.A.F. When he returned home, he was employed with the provincial government for many years before beginning his career with the Manitoba Government Employees Association until his retirement at age 57. He enjoyed his retirement years with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Throughout all his ill health in the past years, Charlie always went to sleep at night happy and awakened each day happy. The family is extremely grateful to the nurses, doctors and care givers at St. Boniface Hospital 7A West for their compassionate care. Cremation has taken place. Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 14 at St. Peters Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin Street. Flowers gratefully declined. Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 586-8044.
