ELEANOR VIER (nee MURRAY) It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Eleanor (Grandma) Vier at the age of 84 years. She was predeceased by her husband Fred and her daughter Edna. Left to cherish her memory are her son son Herb (Denise) daughter Janice (Dennis) and son-in-law Johnny (Linda). She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Kim, Scott (Crystal), Tara (Gregg), Jodie (friend Jonathan), Dean and Mark and her precious new great-grandson Tyler. She will also be sadly missed by her special friend Helen, her many friends in Starbuck and many nieces and nephews. Grandma was born in Starbuck on November 16, 1915 and married Fred Vier in October, 1939. She was very devoted to her family and spent many hours sewing, quilting, crafting and doing many deeds for the church. In celebration of her new life we are happy for the peace she is now having. We will miss you Grandma and you will be forever in our thoughts. Thank you for all you were and how you touched our lives. God bless you. We would like to extend our thanks to the homecare girls, Jackie and Carol and to the nursing staff and doctors at Victoria Hospital. Prayers will take place at 1:30 p.m. at St. Pauls Catholic Church in Starbuck with funeral services following at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 6. Interment of cremated remains will follow at the Starbuck Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
