EVA SCHOLZ (nee YURKIW) It is with deep sorrow that we, the family, announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, and grandmother Eva Scholz at the age of 82 years on Thursday, December 2, 1999 at the Beausejour Hospital. Eva will be lovingly remembered by Martin, her husband of 51 years, her son Wayne and wife Louise of Garson, Mb., and daughter Janet and husband Len Leclerc of Beausejour, Mb. She also leaves to mourn her passing three grandsons whom she loved very much, Kyle, Tyler and Brock. Left to mourn her passing are brother Stafford Yurkiw (Alice) sisters Sophie Yurkiw, Doris Orton, Liz Chomyn (Fred), Ollie Perry (Jim), Judy Sandham (Jack) and Millie Sandham (Thomas), also numerous nieces and nephews. Eva was predeceased by her parents Stephen and Ksenia Yurkiw brother Mike and sisters Pauline and Anne. Eva was born September 15, 1917 and grew up in Garson, Mb. In 1948, she married Martin Scholz and together they settled in Garson. Mom was a very special person who established many friendships over the years. She was a very caring and giving individual, one who was always smiling and happy. She loved and took great pride in her children and grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Zeiler and nursing staff at the Beausejour Hospital for their compassion and outstanding care. Prayers will be held on Sunday, December 5 at 7:00 p.m. at the Sobering Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 6 at 2:00 p.m. in the Zion Lutheran Church, Beausejour with Pastor Michael Cone officiating. Friends may view at the church prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Bernice Hawton, Harry Yurkiw, David Kafka, Les Evers, Keith Lafreniere, Donna Lashek, Kyle Scholz and Tyler Scholz. In lieu of flowers, donations in Evas memory may be made to the Beausejour & District Hospital, Beausejour, Mb. ROE OCO.
