JAMES (JIM) STANLEY POCHINCO It is with immense heartache that our family announces the passing of James (Jim) Stanley Pochinco, at home on November 30, 1999. Jim would have been 37 on his birthday December 3. Predeceased by his father Stanley (Stosh) James Pochinco and grandparents James and Julie Pochinco. Left to treasure his memory is his mother Virginia; sister, Desiree (Don Hoffman) brothers, Stanley (Wendy) Searcy, and Derek (Donna) Searcy; grandparents Alfred and Josephine Besso; numerous aunts, uncles and their families a niece and three nephews and all of his dearest friends and their families. Jim was born in Edmonton, Alta., and a few years later the family moved to Calgary where Jim started school. This is where some of his passions started for water skiing, camping, and fishing at many of the great lakes in Alta. and B.C. In 1973 the family moved to Lockport, Man., to start the family business Lockport Centre Ltd. Jim went to school in St. Andrews and Selkirk. He tried his hand at auto mechanics with his dad Stanley, then moved on to building renovations and construction. At the time of his passing, Jim was employed with J & J Penner Construction as a dry wall taper. Some of Jims great passions of life included working on and riding his Harley-Davidson, being "Uncle Jim" to all his friends children, also his niece Shai and nephews, Spencer, Jared and Jesse, whom he loved dearly and enjoyed immensely, spending time at Piersons and Telankos cabins, water skiing, boating, snowmobiling and other outdoor activities. Jim was a man of much love, caring and generosity, the one to give you the shirt off of his back, energy, passion, creativity and youthful enthusiasm. Jim loved life, all it had to offer, and lived his life to the fullest.
