Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPAUL ANTHONY CHERNICHAN Peacefully on December 10, 1999 with his loving wifes arms around him, Paul passed away in the Seven Oaks Hospital after a brief illness. Paul was born on March 3, 1923 at Dallas, Manitoba. He lived and worked there until 1953 when he came to Winnipeg to work at Weidman Bros. Wholesale Grocers and later at Westfair Foods until his retirement in 1987. He enjoyed his retirement in St. Andrews working in the garden, cutting the grass, traveling to B.C. for the winter months and most of all, driving around the neighborhood on his "Big Red". In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, trapping, camping and dancing the night away. He never missed a polka. Paul will be sadly missed by his devoted wife, Joyce; son Howard Bowe (Deborah) and son Jeff; three grandchildren Stacie, Gabriel and Rebekah Bowe. He also leaves a brother Peter (Alice) and sister Ann Honke and Olga (Jack) Meadows as well as many nieces and nephews. Viewing and prayer service will be held Tuesday December 14 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. at 7 p.m. with a gathering to follow in the reception center. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 15 at 3 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home with internment to follow. In lieu of flowers and because of Pauls love of children, donations may be made to the Childrens Wish Foundation, 350 St. Mary Ave. Winnipeg, Manitoba or any Childrens charity of your choice.
