IRENE GAUTHIER Surrounded by her family, Mrs. Irene Gauthier passed away peacefully at the Ste. Anne Hospital on Monday, December 13, 1999 at the age of 91 years. She is lovingly remembered by her family: sons, Gerry (Penny) of Steinbach, Leonard (Lorraine) of Winnipeg; daughters, Eveline Saindon (Marcel) of Ste. Anne and Romea Nielson (John) of Ross, 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; brother Allan Rivard of B.C., and numerous nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband Romeo in January 1985; two sisters and one brother. Irene was born in Ste. Anne, Man. on March 27, 1908. She and Romeo were married on November 25, 1925 in Ste. Genevieve and then moved to Ross, where they worked very hard on their farm during the depression, raising their two sons and two daughters. After Romeos death, Irene sold the farm and moved to Villa Youville in Ste. Anne where she resided until her death. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, December 15 at 7:30 p.m. at the Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Avenue East, Beausejour with Deacon Gerald Desrosiers officiating. Funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, December 16 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church, Ste. Anne, MB with Rev. Fr. E. Bonin officiating. Interment will follow in the Ross Roman Catholic cemetery. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the Doctors and staff of the Ste.
