JAMES MELVIN BUSCH Peacefully, with his family at his side, on Monday, December 13, 1999 at Charleswood Care Centre, James Melvin Busch, aged 70, of Winnipeg. James was born at Grace Hospital January 20, 1929. He grew up in Camper, MB with his parents and many brothers and sisters on the farm. Jim and Jean were married in June 1949. Jim spent many years in the mines in Snowflake, MB, Madsen, Balmertown and Elliot Lake, ON. He was an underground miner and shift boss. Later Jim came back to Winnipeg and spent many years in the moving and trucking industry at Canada Moving. He had a lot of old moving and trucking friends and used to like to go out with them to the Kings Hotel or go dancing with Jean. Jim was a good father and loved his two kids, adored his four grandkids, always telling them jokes. Jims health gave out about 12-13 years ago and he had to stop working. He spent the last year at the Charleswood Care Centre. He had so many friends and good careworkers there, a place where they really go the extra mile for people. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Ramagoulam and the staff at Charleswood Care, who, like his second family, loved and cared for him and provided constant support to his family. Left to cherish Jims memory are his wife Jean; daughter Patricia (Michael) son Greg (Judy) grandchildren, Eric, Nick, Tabatha and Dustin; brothers, Harvey (Irene), Douglas (Shirley), Gilbert (Leslie) sisters, Claudia Obenauer, Iris Stefanyshyn, Eunice Hayes (Robert), Beatrice Boutilier (Harold), Nancy Henkel (Robert) sisters-in-law, Ester Busch, Teresa Busch and Edith Bergen (Busch) numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Susan; father Jack; brothers, Adam, Oscar, Stewart; sisters, Ethel Vowles and Ann Erhart. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 17 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. with Padre Stan Millar officiating. Viewing will take place one hour prior to service. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery. KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 956-2193
