MARY SHEWCHYSHYN January 29, 1915 - December 14, 1999 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear Aunt and Great Aunt on December 14, 1999 at St. Boniface Hospital. She is predeceased by her parents, Anastasia and Andrew; her brothers, Steve and Joseph; her sister-in-law Nellie, as well as her great niece Carol-Ann Plezia. She is survived by her nephew Gregory Chesin and her niece Louise Plezia (Ed) Great Aunt to Keith Plezia (Melanie), Michele Edwards (David) and Charlene Plezia. Great Great Aunt to Tyler and Bryce Edwards. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Mary Meyers; nephews, Alan Meyers and Michael Meyers (Charlynn) nephew Zachary; nieces, Kaylen and Christa Meyers, as well as many cousins. Mary grew up in Brooklands and worked for McLeods until her retirement. Mary was a loving and caring person to all. She will be extremely missed by her family and friends that she knew through her membership in many senior organizations throughout the city, where she could be seen kicking up her heels. A special thank-you to the staff at St. Boniface Hospital on the 7th floor for the wonderful care given to Mary during her stay. Prayers will be said on Thursday, December 16 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel at 1442 Main Street. Funeral will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Josephs Ukrainian Catholic Church at 250 Jefferson Avenue. Redemptorist Father officiating. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ed Plezia, Keith Plezia, David Edwards, Gregory Chesin, Alan Meyers and Michael Meyers.
