DENIS FIFI After a courageous battle with cancer, Denis Fifi, age 49, passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital on December 15, 1999. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Yvette; mother Maria; sister Anita and Tony; nephews, Gordon, Vicki and family and Glen, Donna and family as well as special niece Karen. He will be missed by Yvettes children and families and her mother Mrs. M. Pelland. Also remembering him are Yvettes numerous brothers, sisters, their spouses and families. Denis was predeceased by his father, Maurice in 1985 and his father-in-law, Cyril Pelland in 1993. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 18 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Cross Parish, 252 Dubuc Street, Winnipeg, MB. The family wishes to extend a special word of thanks to Dr. Deanick, Dr. Garcia and the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital for their compassionate and excellent care. The family is also grateful for the loving pastoral support received from Father Jim Gray, Gerry Sembrano, John MacKenzie and Chaplain Tim Frymire. In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Denis may be made to the St. Boniface General Hospital Palliative Care Unit, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R2H 9Z9.
