SARAH JANE MURDOCK April 8, 1932 - December 14, 1999 After a lengthy illness, on December 14, 1999, Sarah Jane Murdock of Fisher River Cree Nation, Manitoba, went home to be with her Lord, at the age of 67 years. Sarah Jane leaves to mourn her passing her sons, Simon (Wanda), Russell, Clinton and Billy; her daughters, Marlene, Jeannie (Carl), Nedra (Jake), Anne (Lorne) 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her sister Ada; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Sarah was predeceased by her husband William John; sons, Stewart and Lester; brother Paul; parents Arthur and Edith Amos and Elijah and Ellen Sinclair. Mom was born and raised in Fisher River until 1961 when she moved to Winnipeg with her husband and family. Sarah returned to Fisher River in 1984 and resided at the personal care home for her last seven years. She was a loving mother, granny and great-granny. We would like to thank the staff at the personal care home for the care they provided over the years. Also, thanks to the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital. A very special thank you to Auntie Ada for being with Mom during her final days. A wake service will be held on Friday, December 17 at 6:00 p.m. at the Fisher River Personal Care Home. A wake service will be held on Friday, December 17, 1999 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 18 at 2:00 p.m. Services will be held at the Stevens Memorial United Church, Fisher River, Manitoba.
