THOMAS BALDWIN KARR November 24, 1958 - December 13, 1999 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Tom Karr, beloved husband of Anna and father of Adam. Tom was born in Winnipeg and graduated from Silver Heights Collegiate. He then earned his diploma in commercial cooking from Red River Community College. Tom began his career early with Gordon Hotels and was then Head Chef at Breezy Bend Country Club for 17 years. Tom then went on to the "Great White North" as Head Chef at Island Lake Lodge. Tom became an avid fisherman and continued to follow his Dallas Cowboys. Tom will be remembered for his great sense of humour, his practical jokes and his wonderful stories. He was honest, loyal and generous to a fault. His first love and priority was his family and Tom was always the catalyst for family get togethers, well miss his barbecues. Tom doted on his son Adam - their bond can never be broken. Tom is also survived by his parents, Gwen and Steve Karr; his brothers, Glenn (Nancy) and Dean (Lisa) and niece and nephew Andrea and Jamie. He will also be missed by his in-laws, Richard Sr., Linda, Carol, Richard, Matthew, Wade (Karri Ann), Chad and Sharla. As well, Tom leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 18 at 1:00 p.m. at Sturgeon Creek United Church, 207 Thompson Drive with the Reverend Beth Rutherford officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at any Astra Credit Union branch in trust for his son Adam. "Tommys light shone brighter than most" NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200 www.nbardal.mb.ca
